We all have our own journey, struggles, and beliefs.

While our paths may have taken us on a route we didn't won't to take, We all had choices to make.

We have all shed our own amount of tears or reached our own goals and successes at different times and ways.

Some of us may have asked why me? Others may have said why not me.

We all have our own unique stories; however the common theme is....Breast Cancer.
Please take a moment to read in the next following days Our stories of hope, faith,
Courage, strength, determination, resilience.
We have been bound together; We are Pretty in Pink-Sisters in Pink. We are Survivors!

~ Dawn Briggs - Scooters for Hooters Morristown

I had such a wonderful time with all of these ladies and getting to hear their stories.

Paula was unable to attend the event on September 28th so she sent us her story.

Meet the beautiful Paula Dmyterko

"Diagnosed Jan 2014. No lumps just a discharge from my left breast. Ultrasound guided biopsy. Cancer found in my left breast.

My Mom and both sisters have all had one breast removed due to cancer.
When I met with my surgeon I insisted on a bilateral mastectomy.
He advised against it but because of my family history he agreed. 2/11/14.
Pathology afterwards revealed both ductal in situ and invasive breast cancer in both breasts.
We were tested for the BRCA  genes and we do not have them so the reason that we all have been breast cancer positive is a mystery.

My tumors were tested and mine is estrogen receptive.
My journey has been relatively easy as no chemo or radiation before or after surgery.
I am on anastrozole daily and do my aftercare as scheduled.
I had a recent scare of unspecified tumors on my arm. They are not cancerous, and I am grateful.
I am thankful to be healthy and happy. This journey has taught me very important lessons about gratitude and acceptance.
Rock on Pink Ladies and Pink Men who survive .
Prayers for all who have earned their wings"
